Treating with MAQS or Formic in the heat

Just tested and have counts above thresholds.  Would like to use Formic but it appears that we are going to be in the 90’s during the next 10 days or so.  What do most people do in that situation?

I have heard of folks using 1/2 dose of Formic (Pro?) in the heat to lower the impact on the colony in high temps. But I have not tried that, proceed with caution.

You can also use multiple OA treatments.

I have some formic pro and some hopguard if you would like to try some. I Also have a proper vaporizer. I assume you have already pulled your honey?

Treating for mites is difficult, there is no silver bullet. What you need is a pest managment program. You need to find a strategy that works with your way of bee keeping. Most beeKs are using a combination of treatments over the year including brood breaks to slow down the mite.

I have not found a central source for info on the different treatments available.
