Cut Outs and Feral Colony Rescues from Trees

    Hello TVBA members,

From time to time TVBA gets requests for someone to do removals of honeybee colonies in buildings. Is there anyone in our group interested and practiced at doing this kind of building cut-out  rescue work?

Also periodic inquiries about rescue of feral colonies in trees and stumps.

Happy to recommend you to inquiries if you do!

TVBA UPDATE TO POST: This colony was collected on August 25.

I got a call from off the Oregon Beekeeper's site about a "cutout" in McMinnville today. The hive is in an oak tree that was cut down yesterday.

Matt Johnson is very concerned about the hive and want to make sure it is taken care of with consideration for the bees. He will be sending me pictures shortly that I will add to this forum.

He can be reached at 503.250.0148.

If I am not able to attend tonight, please announce at the meeting.
